Apps
Besides research software, I make small, free and open source apps for the Mac.
luftig
A small, fast Markdown editor for the Mac.
A native app for writing and thinking in plain text, alone or with an AI that edits the same file. One text view, no preview: the Markdown source is what you edit, styled in place.

machen
Google Calendar and Google Tasks in the Mac menu bar.
Shows your upcoming events and open tasks from one or more Google accounts in one list, and lets you add and change them without opening a browser.
Google is still reviewing machen. Until it is approved, signing in shows a warning that Google hasn't verified the app: click Advanced, then Go to machen, to continue.
